After being back in Bakersfield, Caroline is quickly whisked off to Colima, Mexico to be married to Juan Carlos. He didn’t waste any time with their nuptials because he wants to have full control of her. Sergio and Ricardo Sanchez, the grandfather and father of Hector, come to visit Javier anJuan Carlos declared war on Tip after he firebombed their house. He launched a full assault on Tip and his crew, capturing the ones who did the actual bombing, Tip's right hand man, Hot Sauce.
What Juan Carlos didn't bank on was Tip's resilience to beat him at this game of war, or Hot Sauce's persistent heroin addicted girlfriend that loved him and kept rubbing La (Caroline) the wrong way. La is questioning the paternity of the baby she's carrying, and Juan Carlos is quite aware of it. He found a pamphlet in her drawer for a facility that does paternity testing. Jeff questioned Juan Carlos on whether or not he was going to tell La about the tracker. Juan Carlos felt that he should come clean, but how would La react when she finds out about this betrayal?
Blood is shed, lives are lost, and an undying love will test Juan Carlos and La's marriage. Diego is ready to step up and be a part of his family's lifestyle, but his nose is open with his new girlfriend, Tiffany. Will he honor the pact made between Juan Carlos and Rita. Juan Carlos, being smug and arrogant, admits to personally killing Hector himself. Ricardo becomes so outraged that he declares war on the Munzo family, with his first plan of action being to kill one of Juan Carlos’s children to avenge Hector.
Now back in St. Louis and confused about her husband’s whereabouts, Caroline resumes her identity as Kayla and decides to pick up where she left off until Juan Carlos contacts her. Even though Juan Carlos had been up under a lot of stress, he and Caroline have been working on their relationship. Caroline has finally realized how much she actually loves her husband. Will their love sustain in St. Louis?
